I am looking to play games like bioshock and would like to set it to high graphics so want something quite new, can anyone give me some advice. I have around 50-100pounds to spend. Thnx in advance

The usb always worked but one day i plugged in my mp3 player and suddenly this message come out "USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it" , i have tried looking up the problem on google and tried some possible solutions but none has worked so far, any suggestions.

It starts up just fine and it goes into the log in screen and it stays there for like 2 seconds so i cant log in and it starts over and it will do that over and over as long as I leave it on.
what should I do?

I have tried properties and all that and can't get it too work. I can preview them but can't get it to work. I even set it on one minute and it won't work. My computer is secure so it's not a security problem!

well, my brother bought this graphic card and a new mobo. and he installed the drivers for the graphic card, after that, it becomes unsuccessful and goes through a loop of contious reboot, ive tried safe mode, but it still reboots. any ideas?

I installed windows premium on my windows xp and now when it rebooots, there is a black screen and says Disk Read Error, press Ctrl+Alt+delete to restart. i tried doing that, but even the keyboard wont work. i also tried pressing F8 when i hear the beep. it wont start up. there is also no Floppy in my floppy hardrive. Plz explain how i can fix this in a very simple way without all that computer/complicated words. if you do can u plz explain it and tell me step by step. THANK YOU.

I'm looking into buying a new processor for my computer. Right now I have an Intel Pentium D, I contacted Gateway and they told me that I can only buy processors compatible with Socket T (LGA 775) in my motherboard, which totally rules out AMD.

This leaves me with having to buy an Intel Processor. Since I mostly use my computer to play video games, I need something powerfull. And that something is a multi core processor.

Ive looked around but was left dazed and confused as to what is what and how well it performs, so I need help finding the best Intel Dual Core processor for the price range of 200-250 dollars.

I'm trying to reformat the hard drive on a Toshiba Sattelite laptop that is a little old. I have a full install CD of Windows 2000 and I need to boot from it but I can't figure out how to get this computer to boot from CD. On desktop PC's, I've always pressed DEL during boot up to access the BIOS where I would tell it to boot from CD, but I can't figure out how to access the BIOS on this laptop. If I can't get it to boot from the Windows install CD, then I need a way to totally wipe the hard drive and then be able to access the CD drive from a DOS prompt so I can type "Setup" to do the Windows install. I have old 3.5" DOS disks but I can't remember how to do a reformat from DOS. Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I'm looking at a warranty for a business VoIP system. Condition 5 says "Warranty does not cover any Acts of God, riot, war, EMP and all natural disasters".

What does the EMP stand for? I see where it stands for "electro-magnetic pulse" if I take it in its own context, but this doesn't seem to quite fit the warranty.

My laptops hard drive is no longer getting detected, it did this before and then it booted up again, when I restarted it it was stuck on the acer screen again! half way loaded, in bios there is no autodetect feature

I bought a Dell laptop that came with XP and I just went with the standard 256 MB of ram. I will eventually get more ram when I have the money, but in the mean time I just bumped up my virtual memory to over a gig to handle my programs.

I don't do anything fancy with this machine, just Word, Excel, Firefox/IE, etc. I know it is recommended that you keep your virtual memory about 1 1/2 to 2 times you ram (about 386 to 512 in my case). But, I wasn't sure if there is anything I need to worry about because I bumped up my virtual memory this high.

I have very important files in my computer and one day my computer had virus then when I deleted the virus the computer was not working well. I decide to reinstall windows and format the drive. After formatting I cant find the files. I realise that those files are very precious. Is there any way to recover them. Please help me. I will really appreciate this.

so I don't know much abot computers but I do know that I am running out of memory on my laptop. Everyday I have to go around deleting stuff just to keep it running properly. So my question is, what would I need memory wise to add to my computer to give it more space (I was thinking of an external harddrive but I may be wrong)? I got a retarded usb flash drive and it won't work. Don't try to help me I already posted for help and everything that people reply to me it doesn't help. I know its my dumb *** computer because the flash drives work perfectly fine on others. I just need a software that will allow my WINDOWS XP to recognize my USB Flash drives. I tried going to their websites but those are only for WINDOWS 98 and won't allow me to download them.

and I plugged in the usb to my harddrive and thought I did a good thing but it the new hardware wizard askes for software I did'nt get any with the lexmark now what?
