I installed windows premium on my windows xp and now when it rebooots, there is a black screen and says Disk Read Error, press Ctrl+Alt+delete to restart. i tried doing that, but even the keyboard wont work. i also tried pressing F8 when i hear the beep. it wont start up. there is also no Floppy in my floppy hardrive. Plz explain how i can fix this in a very simple way without all that computer/complicated words. if you do can u plz explain it and tell me step by step. THANK YOU.

You are asking for a simple answer to a complicated question. It sounds like your disk drive has failed, but something may have gone awry with your install. Did you delete or create any partitions when you installed Windows Premium?

Pretty much, your operating system is gone. (windows xp, millenium, 2000, vista whatever)...
This actually just happened to me a while ago and i had to reinstall it.
If you don't have a Windows CD call your computer company and they should send it to you under a small fee.

Restart your computer, make sure the disc isnt scratched and make sure you do a scan to your computer for virus checks

It wasn't installed correctly. Your drive has no boot sector.
