Most power supply units are switchable from 115 to 230 volts. The output is the same for the internal components. Therefore any graphocs card should work on your system. On the other hand, if the power supply is only 230 WATTS (as opposed to volts) you may need to pay attention to the load (wattage) that the grahics card is putting on the power supply.

If you want to play games like bioshock, on all high it will take far more than a new graphics card. And since your starting with a 230watt power supply, Ill assume you have far from an ideal system to do so.

Your probably looking at a completely new build.

I believe you are in great brittain, so im not going to ASSUME that you meant to put Watts, instead of volts...

but how many WATTS you need... I would upgrade to a 500 watt supply, cause its only a bit more than a 400, and 400 would be the MINIMUM I would use... but thats here in the US

Your budget could probably get you a factory overclocked 8600GTS. You could run it if your power supply has at least 18 amperes output on the +12V rail. Check it out on its sticker label.
