and I plugged in the usb to my harddrive and thought I did a good thing but it the new hardware wizard askes for software I did'nt get any with the lexmark now what? I have no idea how to do this .All I want to do is be able to print ,copy ,and fax using my computer and this new lexmark. I am pretty lame at this so far so please explain this to me in as easy of terms as possible .I will be forever greatful thank you as always

Go to WWW.LEXMARK.COm and look in the SUPPORT section or DOWNLOAD / DRIVERS section.
SEARCH on teh model No and find the drivers,
Download and follow instrcutions, as a USB printer should simply need to RUN the installer.
ONLY connect the USB cable WHEN the installer tells you to.

i have a model very similiar. they come with discs which give step by step. thats the safest thing to do
