Hey everyone i just got a ram upgrade for my computer, the original ram was 512mb ddr2 pc4200 ram, and i got a second stick as an upgrade and its 1gb PC5300, but i put it in the second slot as to slow it down to match the 4200 speed, and my motherboard DOES support pc5300. Normally the problem is with the new stick, but in this case, its the OLD stick giving my problems, my computer isnt recognizing it. Its just showing the pc5300 and i do some gaming not alot but enough to need over 1bg of ram :P, so any help is appreciated :D Thx

ive had my computer a few months now , it was brought from a well know shop. it had a maxtor hard drive in it wich was making dodgey noises and occasionaly would restart itself . computer with it . i replaced the hdd to a new weston digital , have been trying to load vista onto it now sometimes itl be loading up the actual setup screen then decide to restart itself or freeze. or il get far into the setup screen then it will freeze or restart . i did manage to install a copy last night but then i tried shuttting doen and it freezed , then tried restarting and it did the same . i thought right lets put the old hdd in with xp still on it it loaded up to the welcome screen then just froze am so confused and want this sorted what the hell is going on . any help would be great .. my pc is a phillips mt3700 with a conroe dual core , 2 gig ram , msi 256 graphics card thanks !

If you have a big hand, should you get a big mouse? If you have long/short fingers...?
Little mices are for kids?

Are little mices more comfortable and fast-usable than big ones? What about their weight? Less weight, easier to move?

WHAT ABOUT THEIR SHAPE? More or less FLAT, more or less WIDE, more or less LONG, more or less THICK?

I heard that on an apple you can drag applications from the finder window onto an external hard drive, and then you'd have the whole program copied onto your hard drive so you would then be able to install that program on another apple machine, is this correct?

When I boot my computer the mouse and keyboard freeze. I have reloaded windows as another file and they work ok but I need to get back to my original settings as all my work is on there!

Hey there, I'm wondering what kind of external hard drive I should buy. I previously had a Calvary external hard drive till it just died 2 days ago for some reason unbeknown to me, and I'm looking for a new one, around 250 GB large, good price, that will last. The 2 brands that I seem interested in are Seagate and Western Digital, Seagate for the impressive looks, good reviews and a good warranty. But, I hear it has no on/off button which seems wierd to me. Western Digital because of the looks and the reviews as well. Can anyone give me some valuable advice as to which I should buy, and if not one of those brands, which else? Thanks a lot

I'm buying a computer as a sophomore in high school. If I buy a laptop now, I'll be using it as a desktop for the next 2 years but I'll be able to take it with me to college. Im looking on ebay for an AGP graph card but there seems to be two different pin variations.(their pins arent in the same spot) they look like they would bothfit in my comp but one would have a little gap.
Look like this
1L................................... llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. lllllllllllllllllll and
2L................................... lllllllllllllllllllll.llllllllllllllllll. lllllllllllllllllll
so yea my slot looks like
SL.................................. (.............................) (..............)
so they look like they would both fit, but theres no little plastic divider to stop the first one from being able to be put in.
Does anyone have the same slot but with the 2nd card? working? becau8se most on ebay are the second kind.
