I asked earlier and i learned that you can run dx 9 on a dx10 capable card. I dont want vista, but the answer earlier said my dx 10 card that would be running dx 9 would be crippled. is this true and what are your definitions of crippled in a video card (as in slow, laggy etc.)

I am an avid photographer and I take many photos and they're big. (10.2MP Nikon D40x). I'm geting a Mac for the upcoming school year and would like to know which one I should get. I don't do very much editing, ie. no photoshop, but I do like to make minor changes. My biggest thing though is storage. So how many GB do I need? Do I need a Pro to work with my photos? I'd much rather get a Macbook, but will it be enough? Any info would be much appreciated.

Is there an equivalent alternative to the key that looks like a square with little round snips outside of each corner (what is it called?), that can be found down to the left on some keyboards (I think Mac keyboards)?
This key has a good use in the notation program Finale. I don't find it on most keyboards, only on some. What key or key combination can be used instead, on those keyboards that don't have this key?

My friend and I do some DJ'ing so we got a wireless broadband internet card for his laptop so we can download requests if need be. It works fine. His laptop is pretty nice, runs on Win XP, plenty RAM, Disk Space, quick processor and so forth. Here is my Question: Is there a program he can download that will enable it to work as GPS Navigation for when we are on roadtrips??? I mean, its no biggie if it cant because we can always just use yahoo maps or mapquest or whatever, but a computer is a very powerful thing and I told him "I'm sure there's some way to do it!" but then I didnt really know where to look. So I'm posting this question, then I'm going to go look while yall answer it. That way maybe someone will mention something i hadn't found. :)

Ok I have a Dell dimension 4600 and am thinking of getting a new video card. A GeForce 7600GT 256MB AGP. It says you would need a 400W PSU for this card. My computer has the stock right now. 250W and 325W max. Since the only thing I've ever added to my computer is another 512MB of ram (1 gig total) should i need another PSU for this card. My computer has a Cd drive and a DVD drive. So would i be ok with the stock PSU, or would I HAVE to buy another PSU. I've even seen another guy with the same system and same card i am going buy it with the stock PSU in. And he said it had no problems.Still I have concerns. Please help me. Thanks
