Chances are is that your sound drive is gone. You should try re-installing your sound card driver and see what that does for you.

Make sure your speakers are plugged into the correct spot on the back of your PC. Sometimes PCs have many ports for differnt speakers (5.1, 7.1 etc.) and they all look the same.

Worst case, your sound card is bad.

Check for an Exclamation Point (!) or red X in the Device Manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

If you see either one of them, your Audio drivers are missing or corrupted. Install the proper audio drivers for your PC.
