So... Go to a computer store, take your PC with you, and pay someone to upgrade it.

It's the best solution based on what we've seen of your computer skill level.

EDIT: If you refuse to buy anything, then the program won't run or run so slow as to be unusable. That's just the way it is. What were you expecting? A magic word that suddenly doubles your RAM like Harry Potter?

can you try to run the software even if you don't have 512 RAM?
If you need 512, you'll have to buy it. You can get it a lot cheaper on ebay sometimes, but you'll need to know which memory module is compatible with your computer. You can research on websites that sell ram first, by typing in your computer's model number. Then get the model number you need for the module, and find it used somewhere like ebay.
You might be able to just add enough RAM to your existing RAM, so you won't need to buy a 512 module, maybe just 128 or 256

You buy it. If you are not comfortable installing the RAM after you buy it, have someone else do it so that you don't damage your PC.

If you need to know how much RAM you have, do this.
(assuming you have Windows)

Right click on My Computer (it is either on your desktop or in the Start Menu)
Click on Properties.
At the very bottom you should see something that looks like this
"Pentium 4 CPU 3.0Ghz 1024 RAM"

Yours will probably be different, but the number in front of the word RAM is how much you have. If it is less than 512, go buy some more.

Depending on your current Ram you need to buy more, and plug it into your computer.
Ram blocks comes in different sizes.
128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 1024 MB

okay! u are probably trying to use some new version like cs2 mayb... if u r learning then switch to some older version for the time being or a wiser choice would be to just buy a RAM and get it installed in ur cpu!
----
u already might be having 256 mb or maybe 128 [if ur pc is quite old]; just get it upgraded...
goodluck!

Well, I hate to break it to you, but the ONLY way to get "512 of RAM" is to buy it.

There is no way you can trick your computer into thinking it has more memory installed than it actually does.

If you are not willing to go and buy more memory, then you are not going to be able to run the program.

If your pc is too old(more than 5 years), in my opinion, you should buy a new one.

If not, what you have to to is to buy a 512mb RAM card. For this, you have to check the DDR compatibility with the motherboard of your PC. You can do this with the "Everest" Freeware (you can download it anywhere"

After you check the DDR compatibility of your motherboard, you go to the nearest store and buy a RAM card with the same DDR.

I hope this information was useful to you.

RAM is a physical component of the system. You must either purchase a new system with more RAM, or you will need a hardware upgrade of the current system.
