For some reason, I got both a DVD-R and a CD stuck in my iMac. It won't eject either one and when I try to, it freezes up my computer. What can I do besides take it in?

The hard drive in my old PC has died & I want to replace it to prolong the life of PC - the hard drive is a Maxtor N256, model no 31536U2...I need to establish what interface it is to buy new compatible hard drive - any ideas what it is or how I can find out (other than asking Maxtor/Seagate)?

i was trying to learn how to do "touch typing" with some software (typing with out looking at the keyboard), but it's really difficult after a few minutes my wrist felt stiff and uncomfortable almost painful.

i normally type with my index fingers and looking at the keyboard but i can type pretty fast.

Should i "force" myself into learning how to touch type? is it really an essential skill? what are the cons and pros of touch typing?

and how long that it usually take to learn how to touch type around 50 wpm

i installed my printer (hp photosmart 7550) on my new mac, it said everything was ok and istalled correctly, i tried printing somethign and it says that its connecing to the printer but it takes 5 minutes, there obviously no connection, how do i connect my printer so it prints?

What in the computer uses 3.3v?

The last few weeks my computer has been having serious locks,the computer freezes and wont budge.
When i restart the computer it tells me to go to the bios thats theres something wrong with the *voltage,fan speed or something else*

When i get to the power supply the 3.3v reading is red and reads 4.8.I disconected a fan and that brought the figure down a little but its still red although the computer doesnt lock as often.
I have a 500w PSU which i thought would be adequit but when it locks the whole Psu unit is very hot.

I have an asus motherboard but have been unable to install the software because vista sucks sometimes.
any help is appreciated,

Do i just need to buy a stronger Psu?

Ok i've had it for about 6 months and the battery died so i plugged it in but the light wont come on and it wont charge, Is it the charger, or the battery or something else??

Im looking into getting a sony vaio laptop (cr series), and it has intel x3100 onboard graphics. i was wondering if anyone knew how the x3100 works with modern games. being a gaming person, i want a laptop that will atleast play most games with descent settings, and i know intel is infamous for horrible gaming performance with onboard video, but i dont want to pay over 1500 dollars, plus the cr series is perfect except for the video. thanks in advance.

When I turn on the computer it just looks like my screen is busted. Would I have to be able to see things on my screen on the laptop in order to hook it to a flat panel monitor?

All I know about the 8800GTS is that it is 10.5 inches long and my case is 15.5x7x14.5 (LxWxH)

When I opened my case to see around it looks like there is a lot of extra space that can be used up but I don't know for sure.

Okay the computer , I wanted was custimize by myslef and all together is 17,000 dollars. Thats how much the Alienware desktop that I wanted.
