i installed my printer (hp photosmart 7550) on my new mac, it said everything was ok and istalled correctly, i tried printing somethign and it says that its connecing to the printer but it takes 5 minutes, there obviously no connection, how do i connect my printer so it prints?

First: Try Checking The Connections To The Printer (USB Cable?) If That Seems Ok Try This: Turn Off The Computer, THEN Turn Off The Printer. Wait A Few Seconds, Then Turn On The Printer. When The Printer Ink Carriage Has Stopped. Turn On The Computer. If This Fails, Try The HP Website.

To the OP, did you check to see if you hooked it up correctly? Did you install the driver. Refer to your documentation.

Hey, aren't Macs supposed to "Just work"? I thought only PCs had problems.

the problem is simple....it started when you brought a mac, no offense here, but macs suck! Please go buy yourself a HP or a dell, anything is better then a mac...anything will work better.
