All I know about the 8800GTS is that it is 10.5 inches long and my case is 15.5x7x14.5 (LxWxH)

When I opened my case to see around it looks like there is a lot of extra space that can be used up but I don't know for sure.

If it matters this is my computer http://emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=T5226

Instead of spending the money on a new card, I would start with a new PC. This one will only let you do so much. If your really set on upgrading this one I would add another gig of ram and a less expensive card such as the 8600 gt. Then save my money and build a better PC. Sorry.

Well its not really possible to do a measurement without being there, so here is what you need to do. Open it up, find the PCI Express slot, and then measure 10.5 inches from the slot backwards, and make sure there is clearance there. That should give you the answer.
