Most likely, they would lose a huge amount of customers from not letting you, best to talk to customer representatives...
And what the heck are you still doing with 98?

With the release of Windows vista most high speed internet service providers will cater thier software to run with windows 2000, 2000 professional, XP, XP pro and Vista Even if it was possible to use 98 with the high speed you would not be able to acess many of the features that you could if you had a newer version. If you can afford high speed I would think it would be beneficial to you to by a newr version of windows. Vista basic can be yours for only 99 dollars and then you can be in high speed heaven.

Yes you can. My sister's computer is Windows 98 and she has high speed cable internet. And it runs fine, it processes as fast as Windows and the browser can do it.
You just need to have a Ethernet card in your computer.
Your settings are in.
Start > Run > winipcfg

Yeah, but why bother. You will probably get very little high-speed anything if your computer and OS are that old.
