The only upgrade without buying a new video card is to update the driver. Other than that...nope.

There are video cards out there with the idea of buying a cards minimum features and being able to upgrade the card without replacing it.. .
But often your better off replacing a card when upgrading it.
There are cards out there with the intention of being able to update somewhat.. . But they are not worth the effort or $$.

If integrated graphics, the most you could do is allocate the maximum shared RAM possible.
If it is a discrete graphics card, your only option would be to overclock the GPU and onboard memory.
BUT do not expect awesome gaming improvement just like what you would get with a video card upgrade.

Absolutely not, unfortunately. I've upgraded my old PC as far as you can w/o buying a new mother board. About $625-750/ job...a worthwhile investment, as would couldn't afford a new computer. These were gradual steps to a relatively quick computer, with a decent sound system and nice resolution.

There is no virtual way to do it.
There is only one way to upgrade your video card. It is a card, a piece of circuitry on a board. You must get one and install it into an appropriate slot.
You could steal one.

Depending on what card you have you may be able to give it more memory, but that doesn't increase the performance all that much unless it really doesn't have much memory to begin with.
