Remove the battery
Plug in the AC power adapter
Power on the unit

It should run on AC power without the battery installed

If the unit is only 6 months old, it should be working fine (possibly covered under warranty - but backup your harddrive and wipe it before returning to mfr for warranty work!!!).

Possible sources of problems: AC adapter is failing, charging circuitry on motherboard is failing, battery is faulty, or (but not likely) the DC power tap is bad.

If the unit fails to work w/ battery removed, I would look at the AC adapter. If you can find someone else with an identical laptop, try their battery/AC adapter and through the process of elimination you should find the source of the problem.

Best of success.

Why don't you take your laptop, battery and charger to a store like Radio Shack, Office Max, Office Depot, whatever, to see if they have a way to test your equipment. You don't want to buy anything you don't need and a reputable store with an honest clerk will tell you.

try to use the ac adapter without the battery, if still not power on that mean your laptop is no power, maybe the power jack has problem. do not plug in so many time. send it to laptopsprofessional.com for repair
