We just got a new computer. It is a compaq and the printer we were previously using was a compaq. I hooked up the printer to the new computer and then put the cd that came with the printer in the computer. It installed the printer and it pops up under the printers window box but when I go to print something I get an error in the printing properties box. Any ideas?

i have a dell dimension 2400...and it uses DDR 333 PC2700..i bought another stick same thing..and when i boot up..i hear beeps..i know this is an error...but..how come..and how can i fix this...is the ram destroyed..or do i have to do something b4 i can manually install the new ram..????

I know some about computers but not enough. I already had two 512 cards in my computer and I just put two 1GB cards in. I just want to make sure that my computer updated itself, but for the life of me I don't remeber where to look to make sure it did. I also moved the older cards to the secondary slots before installing the new ones too. If any more info is needed just ask I'll put it up here.

i have a toshiba sattelite laptop but for some reason the screen doesn't work anymore. i've only had it for a year and a half and hardly ever use it. i've taken it to several places to try to get it fixed, but everywhere i go they all tell me i might as well get a new laptop. one guy told me that the backlight of the screen went out. i don't know what to do....

I have Epson Stylus cx6400. Since the ink is so expensive I stared using compatible third party cartridges, but every time I try to print something I get the following message:
"The installed ink cartridges differ from the original Epson ink cartridges for this printer. Your printouts may be different from those printed using original Epson ink cartridges. Do you want to continue using the currently installed ink cartridges?" YES or NO
Does anybody know how to turn it off, it is really annoying and I have to sit there and press YES every time. I try looking into the registry editor but to no avail. Any help appreciated.

Okay so today I reformated my computer and I have 2 questions,

1. When it first starts you know how there's that black screen, well it takes a long time for that to load...and I dunno why it's never happened be4..
it says like: Main Processor: Intel(R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.939 GHz (133x22)
<(CPU ID: and then there's some numbers Patch ID:and 4 more numbers>
and then after it says
Memory Testing and so on..
I don't know if that has anything to do with it..but can someone plz help me out..how do I fix that, cuz it takes like forever to load...
and

2) When I start my computer after it loads and all there's this black screen and it says Windows XP Home Edition and then I have to chose between the 2 ones, the first one is the new one and the second one is my old account, before I reformatted, ..and I have like 29 seconds to chose, you know what I'm talking about right..well how can I delete the second one..cuz it's the old one and I really need to get rid of it..does anyone know how..??
Cuz even when I scan for example, it scans my old account too,..still with the viruses...

So, can you plz help me out here...thanxx..

My PC has 512 MB of total physical memory ( I added 256)) But I only have 150.90 available. I have 2 GB of total virtual memory with 1.96 still available. My C drive capacity is 67.56 GB with 40.17 GB of free space. I am getting the low virtual memory pop up way too often it seems. I have read the answers you all have given in the past but this happens sometimes as soon as I log on and have nothing running. I have Norton Internet Security 2007, it runs updates automatically. I also have the PC set to run automatic updates weekly. In my mind my PC is current with all it needs to be. This is not a major problem, yet, it is just annoying. Thanks for the help. One more thing, what are add ons? example : do you want to run IE without add ons.

my pc is running 50 oC andsometimes it will reboot because of it, and all im doing is on the net and not playn games n such.
i have a 2.54GHZ with 1.5 G of memory, 2 hard drives (40GB) i have Nvidia 6600 video card, and its a custom computer.
it has 2 fans already, one from the video card and one separate.
i really like to know how without buying another fan, like will taking the doors of the PC will help or not, or what?
