Currently Intel has the performance crown with their Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Nvidia has the performance crown with their 8800 GTX video card. There are many different brands that people use for memory. Personally I like Crucial Ballistix memory as they're great for overclocking. Power supplies, I highly recommend Seasonic. Most great power supplies are re-branded Seasonics.
