I have found a computer with a great specification but am unsure about this graphics card, I need a medium-to-high end one really (but doesn't have to be one of the best, just better than average!) Thanks...

Ok here's some info about my computer
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition (used to be MEDIA EDITION but had to erase my hard drive)
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Intel (R)
Pentium(R) 2 CPU 2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 504 MB of RAM

Hard Drive memory:
Total Size: 69.8 GB
Free space: 53.8 GB

Internet Provider:
SBC Yahoo! DSL

ok anyways.................. My computer starts up well and all Then when i Open Up FLOCK (internet Browser) i type in for example Rambler.ru, and it indicates that it is opening the page. It loads up then it just stops of one minute (i think) and then i click on the page again. It says (Not Responding) on the top of the page! >:( It always does this! and Not only am i having this problem in just the internet browser, but through out My whole system !!>:( Can someone help me please Tell me what software can i download to correct the problem.

i want to buy a case fan but i dont have a extra 3 pin on mobo a i dont have a 4piv from the power supply is there any other way to conect the case fan?

Please anybody, I left my laptop plugged into my wall circuit and had the power overload because I had too many appliances running at the same time. And I went to switch back on the electricity in my room and when I came back in the laptop had been playing music , but now was sputtering static very loudly and the screen was blank (nothing on there) and I tried to turn it off, and I could not turn it off. I finally took the battery out of it and put it back in and then it booted up fine and I am typing to you now on it.
How likely is it that I did serious damage?

Well I was originally going to get a GeForce 7300 GS, but I've decided to go ahead and just order a 7600 GS or GT from Newegg.com. I'll just have it installed at CompUSA or something. But anyways, I was wondering, which of these cards should I get for the money? I was looking in the $130 price range? Okay, I got this brand spankin new laptop that should have 80 gigs. But instead, the 80 gigs are divided into 40 gigs on two seperate hard drives. This shouldn't be a problem, except ALL of the files on my computer are on one of the hard drives. It says "40.0 gigabyte capacity, 15.0 gigabytes free" while my other hard drive has nothing on it and says "40.0 gigabyte capacity, 40.0 gigabytes free". What happens when the first hard drive runs out of room? That's 40 wasted gigabytes, because the other hard drive is useless.

Basically guys, I have a dell inspiron 510m running an intel celeron M processor with a clock speek of 1.4GHZ. Is it possible to get this changed? Preferably to a dual core, but if not then a Pentium 4 with HT will be good.

what are the chances of losing all data on all partitions as opposed to losing all data on that single partition that actually caused the crash (when trying to access a certain program, for instance)?

hi i am rebulding my home speackers and there are whats called varible level controls for the tweeter and mid range speacker i want to disconnect them bechuse the speckers im hooking up are more watss and the controls dont even work right. can i dis connect them and have them run without the controls i tryed it and its just like u where to put the control up on high so what should i do i dont want to mess anything up but i want the controls out the 12 in sub woofer is just connected with out controls

I have long been a fan of PCs, but after all the viruses and updates and patches I've had to install over the years to my networked computers, I'm really getting tired of it all. A friend who is an avid MAC user, insists they don't get viruses like PCs do. Is this true??
