You can get Monitors for about £80 for a 17" monitor if you shop around try misco.co.uk

But here is the thing - cheap and good are two word not comonly found together.

I would suggest the Hans-g HW191DP at around £121 its a really good value monitor with a good ballance of qualtity verses cost.

Proview 14" inch monitor from PC world i would recommend cheap as chips!
