Basically guys, I have a dell inspiron 510m running an intel celeron M processor with a clock speek of 1.4GHZ. Is it possible to get this changed? Preferably to a dual core, but if not then a Pentium 4 with HT will be good.

Thanks

It is indeed a laptop. Is there definately no way in which the processor cab ne changed?

(If so will I need to get a new motherboard depending on the chip type?)

Laptops are VERY expensive to upgrade, Go to www.dell.co.uk look up the type of laptop you have ,then it will list all upgrades for your inspiron..you wont be able to upgrade to a Pentium or dual core possessor but it will list what can be upgraded ,it will be very unliklely that i can be because any upgrading of Dell laptops are done before it leaves the factory...hope this will help..Steve..

that is a workstation. The video card, or image card, is soldered onto the motherboard. except the corporate fairly says the video card is upgradeable, then this isn't any longer. ninety 9% of the laptops for sale are not any more video card or cpu upgradeable.
