hi i am rebulding my home speackers and there are whats called varible level controls for the tweeter and mid range speacker i want to disconnect them bechuse the speckers im hooking up are more watss and the controls dont even work right. can i dis connect them and have them run without the controls i tryed it and its just like u where to put the control up on high so what should i do i dont want to mess anything up but i want the controls out the 12 in sub woofer is just connected with out controls

Yes, you can connect the midrange and tweeters without using the controls. It will cause the sound balance of the speakers to shift, since you are using different tweeters and midranges. However, you can tweak an equalizer to get the sound the way you want it.
You can kill speakers by doing crazy things, such as overdriving them. But what you want to do is okay, as long as you treat the speakers with respect.
