I strongly suggest Acer Aspire 5633WLMi which is really gud and you will get alot of feature for the money u spend. I use it. (its cheap)

Go with Paul on this. Vista isn't ready yet, despite what they say, there is little software capable of working with it. You'll have a disappointed kid.

don't get vista yet as it is still full of bugs and has compatability issues. leave it a while say 3 - 6 months

aser on sale for 449 has vista prem intel dual 1.73 950 good chip set 1 gb hard drive 512 ram intel sound card..........best buy has them or walmart
