For my last computer, I purchased a PCI NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 card. It has 256MB RAM and a GPU. Anyway, I just got a new computer with onboard NVIDIA Graphics Geforce 6150 series. In my display properties, it says I have 64MB dedicated memory and total memory 256MB. So..which one is better? and how much memory does my onboard graphics have?(256 or 64?)

I am scanning polaroid pictures for the credits of a film I'm working on. I have about 40 pictures to scan...would it be safe for me to scan them in one sitting or should I do intervals of like 15 so the lamp doesn't overheat in the scanner?

I have used the wireless bridge supplied by motels when traveling, I know about the wireless card from wireless carriers, but what that USB plug thing I see people using? They just insert it on the side of the laptop and have internet connection. Can some computer genius explain ?

I have a
AMD sempron 2600
asrock K7S41GX motherboard,
256 megs of ram
480 watt power supply.

Now I've taken the ram and power supply to the computer store and they tested them both as fine. I've also tried replacing my cmos battery, reflashing bios, and resetting cmos, but I still get this error.

The problems that I'm having with the computer is many times it won't boot at all, not even to bios. I have to turn it on and off many times before the one lucky time that it will boot to bios. And if it does get that far, it nearly always crashes somewhere along the line of booting up windows. There was about 2 times that I luckily did get windows to boot up, and it worked fine for a little while but was short lived because it crashed.

I'm running out of ideas, I'm guessing the processor or motherboard may have gone bad, but I don't want to go replacing good parts. Can anyone help?

My dvd player in my computer is playing the sound and visuals about a third slower than usual. When I shrink the window it speeds up a little. It is the same with real player and windows media. If there is an easy software fix that I could do, that would be great. Although, the dvd is pretty old.
The cd burner also has been having probs burning lately.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Okay, my monitor works if it isn't plugged into my computer! When it is plugged in to the computer nothing happens - it just stays black and the light goes from green to orange. What is up?

Okay, so I bought Black and White 2 for my PC, but the thing is, it wouldn't work because I apparently don't have the right audio or graphics card. I need to know what I have, I just don't know how to do that. So, please tell me all the links and where to find it.

If I try to remove the listing for the PS/2 keyboard from Device Manager, I am told to reboot. Then when I do, the system tells me that I have a new device and the PS/2 listing is still there.
I am having some boot-up problems and I wonder if this could be the issue.

It says it is locked and the website says that it doesn't have a lock. I have re-installed the software. The plug went out so we got a new one and the website says that the wrong cord may mess it up. It is 12VDC DC 1000mA. Is that wrong. If not, what is causing this!

I want to buy a wireless mobile broadband card from sprint which is free after rebate. The problem is, it is a PCMCIA card, and my newer laptop does not have a PCMCIA slot. (It has an Express). Is there an adaptor that will allow me to use a PCMCIA card either through my Express slot, or via USB?

I plan to update my workstation. I have four "RAM" slots on my motherboard. 2 of which have been occupied by a pair of 64MB PC800 RDRAM. Should I just use a stick of 512MB in the 3rd slot and leave the 4th slot empty or should I insert a blank RDRAM (aka CRIMM) to fill the 4th slot? Im not sure which combination works but I heard that RDRAM should be used in pairs. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
