I have a Visioneer OneTouch 5800 Usb Scanner.?

It says it is locked and the website says that it doesn't have a lock. I have re-installed the software. The plug went out so we got a new one and the website says that the wrong cord may mess it up. It is 12VDC DC 1000mA. Is that wrong. If not, what is causing this!

go to there site and see if you can look it up. They may have an 800 number listed and you could call them. If you reg. your scanner they have a self help site. Just go to visioneeronetouch or Visioneer.com

Look all over the scanner, over, and under, for a place that you can "key" with a quarter coin.
