to her computer service so that I can use my computer just like I did before? Would I have to have a new e-mail address? Would her service charge more if two computers were hooked up on the same "line?" I am fairly new to the computer age, and I do not understand how most systems work. Thanks for any help you can give us.

I've seen before these types of CD:
1. Typical CD-R and CD-RW
2. A type of CD-R and CD-RW where the shiny mirror-like (underside) is in DARK color, instead of the typical silvery one.
3. A type of CD-R and CD-RW where the whole piece of CD is BLACK in color, as if it's made with black plastic resins instead of the usual transparent type.

I am looking for the type of CD-R and CD-RW that have the highest level of physical quality (not easily scratched, etc) and highest level of data preservation (data can be kept for very long without losing quality - something like datalifeplus by Verbatim).

Tell me:
1. Of all these different types of CD-R and CD-RW, which one is the best in the 2 qualities I mentioned? Please explain comprehensively why between each of them (this is where I determine who gets the 10 points).
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the CD speed between 4x to 52x?

Note: I won't give 10 points for simple shortcut answers.

I have decided to go with a PC (but I can't 'decide the answer' to my previous question due to that wait time) so now one more question comes to mind. Which company should I buy from? I don't want to build my own and I need it cheap, but not so cheap as to not run my games. Somewhere below the thousands. But which company has the best desktop for that?

I am going to buy a new computer tommorow because my current computer is so broken that I have to do every single activity in safe mode (and i accidently deleted my recovery partition so no more system recoveries). I've been reading and reading about which computer i should get. Right now I am torn with the effectiveness of the mac and the gamingness of the PC. I like the Mac because of the few viruses and ease to use. However, I am not sure if Macs support IMing. Also, i am not sure if warcraft 3 runs on Mac (most likely not) and all my other games are not compatible. If faced with this choice, what should I choose?

I have a freind, who cannot afford to buy a new system. Her system is well, not in the best "working order", if you know what I mean. I suspect it has viruses, and god knows what else. I know that on my system, I can do a system restore, and or to reformat, I hit the ALT, and F11 keys at the same time. Is this feature on her system, with it being four years old?

It sounds like there is a little ambulance siren in it when I turn it on, not to mention the fact that it won't boot at all.
Also, the light for the harddrive on the front is red instead of green.
Scary.
