I have decided to go with a PC (but I can't 'decide the answer' to my previous question due to that wait time) so now one more question comes to mind. Which company should I buy from? I don't want to build my own and I need it cheap, but not so cheap as to not run my games. Somewhere below the thousands. But which company has the best desktop for that?

I already have a MAG Innovision monitor, so the cost of a monitor, keyboard, and mouse can be x-ed out of the equation.

Dell would be the best choice, but you'd still need someone who knows this stuff to help you to be able to distinguish which configuration will suit your needs. Looks like you need a friend...

Dell and HP are the big dogs but they aren't that well built. I bought my Dell 3-4 months ago and it works, but if something falls on my wires the computer shuts off. Build quality just isn't very good.

Custom is best, but you have to know what your doing and buying. I had a custom computer and it crashed a lot... thought it was the ram sticks, power supply, video card... turned out it was caused by the faulty Seagate hard drive.

To save trouble, get a Dell or HP.

To save a lot of money and get better peformance, go custom. But know someone who knows a lot about computers to build it for you.

For $550 I could of built a computer just as powerful, with more space and better video card and reliability, as my $1000 Dell 5150.

In the PC world I always loved Falcon Northwest and Alienware. Top of the line configurations, great support, and a little more design flare than most of the majors like HP and Sony. But you need it cheap? Well, then you're likely stuck with the big guys cause they have more of the discounted machines available. I owned a Dell and was very happy, but that was long ago. Not sure if that's changed.

Custom built, by a local shop. Usually get more for your money
Gatewway
Emachines, depending on what you are doing with it
IBM, pricey, but good

Not Dell, not Compaq, not HP - as a repair person, I can tell you to stay away from these three, unless you want to spend the money for their corporate business models, which are good, but also pricey.

Good luck.

The place where I ordered mine from is called cyber power. They built me a computer for less money, than if I bought all the components online myself. They are a good company

no longer something quite. advertisement servers have very severe-end hardware to have the skill to correctly technique many simultaneous requests. the considerable distinction however is that something which you would be able to call a `server` must be linked to the community it quite is serving in any respect circumstances that it quite is operational. which would be a LAN or it must be the internet. If that's the internet, then advertisement servers are oftentimes on 100Mbps or 1Gbps ports.
