to her computer service so that I can use my computer just like I did before? Would I have to have a new e-mail address? Would her service charge more if two computers were hooked up on the same "line?" I am fairly new to the computer age, and I do not understand how most systems work. Thanks for any help you can give us.

You would need to purchase a router and any network hardware for your PCs. You have provided very few details to begin with but as far as mail, that depends on who your original e mail server was. If you had web based e mail such as yahoo, it will remain the same. Her server shouldnt charge any more for her service if she has DSL or Broadband.

You have a couple of options:

1. Wireless - you'll need to buy a wireless router and a wireless card for your computer, if it doesn't already have one. If the router is going to be on a different floor of the house from your computer, I would recommend you stay away from wireless as you may have some problems. Wireless routers get returned to the store a lot.

2. Wired - you'll need to buy a cheap switch like a D Link 4 port switch and 2 cables - 1 to go from the computer already hooked up to the internet to the new switch and another cable to go from the switch to your computer.

In any event XP will walk you through the setup. Price wise the solutions are about the same - the wireless router is pricey, but then so are the cables. In the end it's a wash. Wire is more reliable.

If you cancel your service with your ISP you'll need to get a new email adress from them, Your hotmail, yahoo email, etc. will remain unchanged.

Martin S: "it's clear that in order for DNA code to work in living cells either some intelligence had to design the cells and the code to work to keep the cell functioning" No it isn't clear. It's your assumption based argument from incredulity - you can't imagine it so it must be designed. And your statements indicate you think evolution is random, it isn't. Your foundation is not correct. Finally, the first life wasn't like a modern cell. A modern cell is the result of 3 billion years of evolution. You need to read a textbook NOT published by the Discovery Institute.

It will work seamlessly. People add computers all the time. If your internet service is wireless (most likely), you might have to get a router, they are not expensive, and the guy at the computer store will know what product you need, you just plug it in, and you're ready to go.

My husband and I have our computers networked..if you have AOL as your ISP they wont allow it..I had to change to another server to be able to network the two computers..its easy enough and plenty on line advise how to do it..We also installed a router for greater security...If you are using Windows XP it virtually does it for you..

No problem. email is the same unless you have isp email currently. You can do it with a router, or through her computer when it is on via a network. No extra charge.

If she has a wireless router, then it's no problem. You can just connect like you used to. If not, then get one and you can share the same line without cable fuss.
