A new game is coming out and it states minimum pentium 3 processor as a minimum requirment, my computer has a intel celeron D and states 3.30 what ever this means??

The new Celeron Chips are based on the old pentium 3 chips, which are not as powerful in terms of clock speed as pentium 4 chips, but where much more efficient. Alot of people think that because celeron is intels budget chip, that they arent as good. However, being based on the Pentium 3, which was more efficient than higher pentiums, this chip will do you just fine.

Pentium 11 and Celeron D not not compatible processors. Although they are both made by Intel, they are very different. Celeron is slightly cheaper than Pentium CPUs, but they work okay, other than the cache memory on the celeron chip is less than on a Pentium, so the same rated speed processors, the Pentium will run faster.

Celeron D is much better than Pentium 3. When compared to Pentium 4, Celeron D computers might have a slight delay in loading really big games, but they are much better when it comes to things like CD ripping, encoding etc.
I think your computer is good enough for any game that requires Pentium 3. Does the game have a demo/trial version -- you can try it out...

The Celeron chip is Intel's BUDGET chip! It can't handle as much as a Pentium chip! Why do you think the cheaper computers have Celeron? Uh, because it's cheaper! Go to www.intel.com and read the 'history' of processing chips. Saying a Celeron is faster than Pentium is like saying a Ford Focus is faster than a Corvette. Just isn't. ;-)

Intel corporation only fabricate the technology for example when you say intel pentium it means , pentium is the core technology and intel fabricate this technology and distributes. similarly celeron is another technology but the distributer and fabricater is intel inside corporation. thats the basic differnece between pentium and celeron. but i prefer to buy intel pentium because pentium is fastest growing technology as celeron.

your Celeron 3.3 will be just fine ... it is a much better chip than a P3

depending on what speed they are at they could be very similar
have you any idea what speed they are running at and i could give you a better idea?
or what the L2 cache is?
