I need to communicate with the Toshiba President because The customer Service is not fixing my Lap top and I am sick and tired of it. This is the 4th time I send it to get fixed and it's still the same (months !). HELP!!!

I'm thinking of buying a new computer, and I'm torn between a mac and a PC. I'll probably be using the computer for IM, internet, school-realted stuff (word processing, Ppt's, etc.), and for playing music. I'm fed up with viruses and spyware, and my current PC (4-year old HP Pavillion 716n) crashes frequently. I'll probably buy a desktop, and I'm looking to spend somewhere between $1000-$2000. Should I go with a mac or a PC?

whenever i download at higher speeds i dont know what happens but it gives irrational behaviour like when i ping to my isp sometimes it responds and sometimes it says request timed out but if i switch off my modem and switch it on again then everythings fine again.plz help coz i have lost many a downloads for this reason.

Can I ad an internal backup drive and later put it in an enclosure and use it on other computers without loosing all the data on it? I have read that most of the ready made external drives have pretty lame software on them.

I have had to reformat a PC which I bought as a complete package, I've put W2K on it but I dont have any of the drivers (NIC, Display,sound etc..) Its a compact PC with everything on the motherboard and no distinguishable manufacturer names on the chips or board. Is there a utility that will interrogate them and locate which drivers are required?
