I know that now macs can run on windows also i was wondering if you have to buy a certain laptop like the macbook pro instead of the macbook to run windows or if you buy the software as an add on.

Currently looking for a lap top between £600 and £1000. I would prefere duo tech, 512mb+, DVD RW, XD photo card, 3D graphics??????, Excel. Good quality build and decent warranty. I have looked at Dell 6400, any good? any ideas? Live in Britain by the way.

This is a follow-up to my previous question about trying to open a cd drive door that is stuck with a cd in it. Nothing has worked so far so I removed the CD-R/RW (Sony Model No. CRX216E) drive from the computer. Now I can't figure out how to take the drive apart to get at the CD. Does anybody know?

I go into my computer and it just shows drive as empty? I can use several cd/dvd's and still same, then for some reason it just starts working all by itself? any clues, as need to open stuff up just now for work and it's doing my head in! 10 points for 1st correct solution.

I have a fujitsu siemens P15-1 PC monitor which has suddenly stopped providing a picture. Why?
Other monitors work with the same PC so it is not the PC or graphics card.
I have had this for just over a year but bought it from PC World who override the manufacturers 3 year warranty and only provide a 1 year warranty (as on all products sold there I am told - money making venture!!!)

I require preferably a wireless trackball and keyboard that is re-chargable and will operate my computer from my armchair approx 20 feet away from my 42" plasma which is being used as a monitor using windows media player for music only. I see tv ads for verison broadband for laptops with PC cards. I assume they get access through a satellite. Does any company offer it for desktops. I'm in an isolated area where I can't get cable or even a phone line.
