I have checked the connections and they all seem ok ,it is a lexmark x2350 and I really would like to print some stuff off but the blue light wont stay on

Have you tried looking at the printing status to see if you still have any documents waiting.

You'll have to check the manual for your printer. It's probably available on Lexmark's website.
