I know that now macs can run on windows also i was wondering if you have to buy a certain laptop like the macbook pro instead of the macbook to run windows or if you buy the software as an add on.

Most Macs can already run the Windows Os for quite some time but it was emulated and it was just a pain in the bud, super slow.
But,now all new macs have Intel inside and they can run windows with -bootcamp- native!!!
But there's also new software to run programs without the use of windows(XP-98 and so on)operating system.
Its called Parallels Desktop and they claim you can install many programs(executable)without a glitch and even run better on a Mac than a pc.
Many games can run on a Mac now.
Macbook or Macbook Pro doesn't make a difference although a Pro is faster of course.
If you want to install Windows on a Mac(no need to,why you want that inferior stuff on a Mac)you have to buy one.

You'll have to add windows after you buy it. Apple and Microsoft draw the line at purchasing licensing agreements for each others operating system. As long as the apple laptop you purchase is equip with the Intel chip, you'll be able to download an application called "Boot camp" this will help you install windows. Then go out and buy windows with service pack 2 or higher and then run the boot camp software for easy installation.

I think you have to buy the software as an add on. I don't think mac would come with windows as they want to be competitive against them.

The newer Macs have the same processor as PCs. You will have to buy Windows XP and load it into the Mac. It does not come with it.

No, Windows and apple are pretty much bitter rivals.
There are programs that were made by windows that can run on macs such as windows media player or Microsoft word, but the only macs that can run windows are painstakingly hacked by computer nerds.
