I have a fujitsu siemens P15-1 PC monitor which has suddenly stopped providing a picture. Why?
Other monitors work with the same PC so it is not the PC or graphics card.
I have had this for just over a year but bought it from PC World who override the manufacturers 3 year warranty and only provide a 1 year warranty (as on all products sold there I am told - money making venture!!!)

You, my son, are being had over by PC World. Most TFTs come with a 3 year on site warranty provided by the manufacturer. Did you fill in the warranty card that came with the TFT. If so get onto the Fujitsu Siemens website and fill in an online RMA request. Even if you didn't somwhere on your TFT will be a serial number. Go to the help desk, tell them when you bought the TFT and give them the serial number. Fujitsu will be able to trace when they sold the TFT to PC World and it wont be over two years before you bought it. Fujitsu are a reputable company and should honour the 3 year warranty. The 'on site' bit means they will arrange for a new monitor to be delivered and the old one collected.

From the Fujitsu web site:

CRT' present a extra constructive photo for multimedia and layout applications (video modifying, digital imaging, and so on), notwithstanding the TFT flat reflects are a concepts extra effective, in fee, area, and skill use. the project you're having with the exhibit screen might want to correctly be by using diminish refresh expenditures inherent in liquid crystal exhibit video exhibit instruments. some anybody is delicate to the refresh expenditures of those video exhibit instruments (pretty after switching from a CRT to an liquid crystal exhibit). this is comparable to how some anybody is delicate to fluorescent lighting fixtures. both (liquid crystal exhibit video exhibit instruments and fluorescent lighting fixtures) to no longer somewhat exhibit an outstanding photo or basic, yet rather flicker at an fairly severe speed. The decrease the refresh fee in Hz, the slower it sparkles. After a particular element human beings initiate to pickup in this flickering which lines their eyes and motives issues. it is conceivable that when a lengthy time period with the hot exhibit screen you receives used to it (I did). even if it is that a lot of a topic notwithstanding, see about going decrease back to a CRT.

I have problems like this and it is possibly the power supply.
If your PS is external you can get a replacement but is is usually only through the manufacturer.
If it is internal you may be better of buying a new monitor.
TFT monitors are getting much cheaper these days anyway.
Have the power supply checked or put a test meter on it yourself and try that before thinking it is the screen etc.

well if there is no picture then its really hard to fix problems with tft since crt are a lot easier to fix. are you sure there is power getting to the monitor?
since it would need to be taken to a monitor repair shop to get it fixed if u want, since might be cheaper just getting a new tft
since the most common fault is a burnout of the data transfer systems. and very hard to fix this.
