why do I need a network adapterwith a router?

If you have a computer you want to use with a router, you have to have a wireless card on the computer receiving the signal, or a network adapter..

Because in order to connect your PC to the router (or a hub or switch) you need a network adapter. If it's a wireless router then you need a wireless network adapter. A network adapter is what allows your PC to communicate on a network.

It's pretty simple really.

because it is where your router will connect to your pc. either wireless or not. just like a cd needs a cd-rom.
