Hardware - October 2006

After many "hangs" and frozen pages, I downloaded Intel's processor ID which informed me that my BIOS was not fully compatible with my P4 Celeron and from further info I have gleaned, it seems the BIOS sure is the problem.

I have tried everything and still have an exclamation point by the driver on usb 2.0 root hub device. I also have exclamation point by the via 5 or later usb universal host controller. I have tried every usb 2.0 driver i can find. Any ideas? I have a generic usb 2.0 cardbus pcmcia pc card and I also wonder if you can use it in the pc card slot on a Hp Palvillion zt3380us Centrino Laptop?

I can do them one by one but there are over a thousand songs on it now and its taking too long. a majority of the stuff on it is either duplicated or things i did not want on there in the first place. for some reason it automatically synched every song on my cpu. i just want to start over .

I've asked this before, but forgot to add details, so I'm doing it again...
Here are some more details:
It's a Dell Dimension 8300, 2.66 gig pentium 4 processor, 1 gig ram. I have no idea what mother board I have, nor do I know exactly how to check. I DO have both regular pci slots and agp slot, but I'm not sure what kind of agp slot it is.
(I'm told that there are 2 - 4x & 8x.)
Right now, I have a BFG GeForce 5500fx card with 256megs of ram.

Hi there. I have a Pentium 3 notebook which i hope to access the wireless broadband, which type of adapter will you recommend me: PCMCIA or USB?

Some of my considerations will be i am not sure if my notebook (about 4 yrs old) support USB 2.0 and technically speaking is USB much stable and faster compare to PCMCIA?

I also have a Pentium 4 desktop (without wireless capability too).

lastly, what does it mean unsecure broadbank access?

My USB ports do not show in my list of ports, but when I plug the printer in it tries to install it but fails, because it needs a function driver when I try to install the driver it all fails, some tech guy said I need to configure the USB ports, but how?

I am looking for a new motherboard and graphics card for my desktop. Right now my computer is running really slow when I play a game and it is really making mad and I want to start playing World of Warcraft but it will run too slow. I have 2x 120mm and 2x 90mm spots that are all filled now. I want to replace them all with red LED fans instead of the current blue LED fans. The 120mm's will be replaced with Silenx iXtrme pro fans. I can only find 92mm versions of red led fans that are at acceptable noise levels. Will they fit in the same spots as the 90's i have in now?
