I am looking at Dell but don't really know much about them. I don't really understand the pixels numbers. Any help is appreciated. Looking for 19 inch for work.

I have installed my new USB HD 250 gig (still unformated). My PC can detects the new USB mass storage device, but it appears nowhere, no drive letter, nothing. This happens both on my desktop as well as my laptop. I am using windows XP.

Any hints ?

Rigth now the laptop has 2X256mb (400mhz) ram chips filling the 2 slots. Do you think it would be best to remove both of the current chips and replace them with the larger faster 1gb ram (leaving the other slot emply) or should I keep one of them in (=1.25gb total)?

ive had my pc for few years now, which was mainly for gaming and entertainment. but ive recently started a business and needed to install MS office - which kills my computer memory. can someone recomend which specs/processor may be better. mine is an AMD 2700 w/ 512 memory. i can upgrade my memory, but ive been recently getting errors that CPU temp excessive. so i dont want to spend unnecessarily.

Havng written onto a CD-RW I now find that I cannot delete or change single files on that CD. All I can do is clear the whole CD. But I have seen somewhere on the web that single files can be changed or deleted if the CD is formatted.

I own a 3 year old HP a1000y. It has integrated graphics which are terrible. I have 512 ram. Can I add a graphics card? Will it slow my PC down? I think I have one (white in color) PCI slot open. Any recommendations would be great- I just installed a 19" 700:1 Acer LCD and I don't even have a DVI Hook up so I am running it in analog mode.

It must have a CD player/writer and at least 2 USB ports. I don't understand the difference between processors but most of the sites I've looked at offer celeron in this price range. I have an HP Pavilion laptop,When in use the processor speed varies depending on the applications I am using. The problem is when I try to use other applications there is a lag time in their response because the processor is not at full speed. How do I make the processor run at 100% all the time? I have set the power options to always on, but this hasn't helped.

I wud luv your advice on this it wud really help me out.
