Yes? SATA is a bit faster than IDE. SATA 150 (1.5GB/s)is slower than SATA II (3.0GB/s). But the mobo for SATA 2 must be made to support the SATA 2 drive, otherwise the SATA 2 drive will run at a SATA 150 speed, this is known as "backward compatible". As far as data transmission read this:
