Which decent inexpensive speakers for my Mac Mini?

Nothing fancy. Mainly to play my own recorded music and work conference recordings. When I look in PC World the choice seems endless. So what features should I look for?

You can get the Altec Lansing VS2321. It's got a subwoofer, bass response is decent, good treble response. There is crackling noise when my cell phone starts ringing, but otherwise no complaints.
