I wud luv your advice on this it wud really help me out. I would like to know what specs i need as i dont know much about computers. also when i speak to dell later i dont want them to be ripping me off. I think its going to cost me around 1200 pounds. I wondered what you think i need to be able to play the latest games so good graphics, be fine to play online with etc. I wud liek you to tell me what you lot reccommend in terms of. Memmory, Graphics, Hardrive, Processor. I am sure there is some of you hardcore PC gamers out there or any computer technicians that can adivse me. Cheers peeps.

I am finding that DEll doesnot have the software for the games and you need to download addational software for games.

If you are wanting a gaming machine, check out Alienware. They have some of the best. As I build all my own systems, I can tell you that you would want a raided system on sata drives and 1gb of ram (2gb would be better) and for video you could get by with a single GeForce 6600, but SLI is better, of course... and any 7000 nVidia GPU graphics card would make it nicer (and more expensive).
Good Luck.

I say in starting Anything but a DELL!!!!!
For games and such
you would want at LEAST
1gb Ram
2.4 Ghz Processor
128 MB video card/GPU (on board video just wont do)
19 in LCD
then build off of that
Ya your happy wiht that dell now but as soon as the warrenty expires Have fun cuase they tend to just go to crap

I start by saying if you dont choose to go with dell, what ever you do do NOT buy from MESH..... big warning as they are rubbish, customer service = non existant, had big problems with my desktop ended up sending it back.
1gb Ram
2.4 Ghz Processor
are an absolute must!

no real disrespect to dell... but you do hear some horror stories about their pc's... i would avoid them and buy a top of the range toshiba or sony vaio laptop.... just as good as a full size pc.., if not better
