sound card and driver problem?

I am new user of linux newly installed linux fedora 3.system chipset is intel 915 GAV hear the problem is sound card was not dected.when i acces the sound card dection tool from redhat start menu iam getting error like "No sound cards were detected" and also "sorry no mixer eliments add/or devices found" please kindly help me why sound card was not detected. and what to do to detect and install sound card drivers. kindly guide me any drivers updates and drivers website links

I think you'll find that the 915 wasn't out, or was too new when FC3 was released. Try Fedora Core 5, which I would guess would have better support for all Intel 775 based chipsets.
