I can do them one by one but there are over a thousand songs on it now and its taking too long. a majority of the stuff on it is either duplicated or things i did not want on there in the first place. for some reason it automatically synched every song on my cpu. i just want to start over .

First, did you load the software that came with the Zen? If so, you want to manage playlists? Where you see the duplications start, right lower pane, highlight the first song of the duplication and then hit the delete button repeatedly until you have removed the unwanted files. Or, go to "My Documents", "My Music" all the music that you have copied to the Zen will be in here. Start deleting all of the duplications. You'll also have to delete the stuff that's in the WMP library, cause when you sync all of that stuff will go onto the Zen. That's the fastest two ways I can suggest to you. :( I don't know why your Zen syncs automatically, I must use the software to make my Zen Micro-Photo sync. Check the settings on the Zen, and in your Zen's computer software to see if there is a setting for Auto-Sync and turn it off. Maybe some of this will help also.
