I am looking to buy a new laptop. Currently, I use a Compaq R3140US. It works pretty good still, only about a year old. But, I travel quite a bit, so I want something that weighs a little less. I have a rolling bag, but still would like to simplify my life ;-)
Anyhow, I also use my laptop as my main desktop PC and use it pretty much all day. That is the main reason I went with this one. Anyhow, I'm trying to find a moderately heavy computer, with a large enough screen to work on everyday, including speed and monitor size. But, I'm also hoping to spend a little under a $1000.
Do you have any suggestions for what to look at? I have been using HP and Compaq for about 6 years and really had no problems. Dell is my other option, but not sure how the quality compares to HP/Compaq
Finally, is AMD Turion better or is Intel Duel Core better.
Again, any advice or ideas would help!
