I have a 2wire 2701HG-B running wireless internet throughout the house. It works fine, but in some places you cant get signal. I also have a netgear wireless router just laying around. Is there anyway i could get the netgear router to receive the 2wire signal, and then have it also relay wireless throughout the house? Anyhelp would be appreciated.
Thanks

I am usinng ASUS RX3041 4 ports router and a Hub with 8 ports? I want to connect ten computers and make a network using these specified devices? I want answers regarding installation connection from the routers and since it is only limited to 4 ports I will be needing an extension in terms of a switch hub. Can I connect a router with another router in case this won't work?

One master computer is connected to a router and cable modem. I use a wireless connection from my laptop to the router. I have another desktop I don't feel like moving downstairs next to the router. Can I connect it instead to my laptop using an ethernet cable? Will my desktop now connect to the internet?

Here's my question, I have two domains (A & B) on a single subnet. All workstations and servers (except one server) are on domain A, the remaining server on it's own domain, domain B. I want users in domain A to be able to access shares on the server in domain B but I don't want the domain B server to be able to access anything in domain A (with the obvious exeption of checking critentials.) Is this possible and, if so, how?

I'm having issues with the built in wireless network on this labtop only (other wireless computer is ok). It shows to be connected at 11Mbs but shows no activity and will not connect. Wireless connection used to work with no issues. But I recently went on trip and connected to the hotel "wired" internet (I tried wireless but would not work). Now at home, the wireless does not work. I had a computer savy friend look at it and was able to connect temporary but but then had no signal. Now it seems that I have signal but no activity. I also tried "system restore" to earlier times but the computer would not restore at all (is this another problem).

I have an emachines T3256, and in my recent move I must have tossed the cable I used to connect my desktop to my modem.

When I went to reconnect today, I learned that my eMachines only has the traditional phone jacks and not a wide cable jack. Is there a name for the type of cable i need? I must have never noticed when I initially connected.

Thanks!
