If you are referring to finding out what the IP address of your computer is, Go to 'Start', 'Run', type in 'cmd' then hit 'Enter'.

At the DOS prompt, type 'ipconfig'

if you are using wired. try start->run-> ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew. then check your router. as anyways, always set it to auto obtain ip. within wireless you will need to get into your router and make sure auto DHCP. that will get you an auto ip. if you want a manual. check for your ip in the router box. its usually ip: 192.168.1.100. change your wireless to 192.168.1.101 and up.

go to the next room, or try not to stay too close from the Access Point..
You can always reduce the transmit power too..
Not sure if that's the problem, but it could be!
