A little time ago i posted a question saying that i could not set up an FTP i have the softwere but when i type in my IP adress my router configation page comes up does any one know how to set up a Belkin router i do not know the model number but i think the config is the same it is a wireless one with 4 ethernet ports? it has 8 lights on each side one side is the power,conection to phone conection to net and wireless light on the other side it has 4 lights for the ethernet to show conectivity. I am very stuck and i relly need to fix this if it is to hard to explane by text and you do not mind telling me over msn via mic e-mail me your msn and we can go though it i would be VERY gratefull if some one could help!!!!!!!!!! thanks

my broadband provider is saying i should be getting 8000kbps tho im only getting 1883kbps.. pardon my ignorance .. but 1000kbps should = 1mbps?

In our pc which is in INTERNET we can type www.google.com and get the web page in our explorer…..because simply we can say that….in network(internet) which our pc was in….. got a server some wer which has it IP address corresponding to the word google …..which made the DNS server’s in the network (internet)…to interpret the word google to a ip and contact that machine and that machine replayed with its default web page to the client which typed its name….that is Google (ip) …… so my doubt is that…in a LAN + domain 2000 or 2003 can we create a computer and put a web page (which v designed and created ) in it ….and make other computers in the lan access that web page through the INTER EXPLORER that they hav in their system…OR if we have to design a network like that what all type of servers with what all service should b running on that network……..also explain me what r the steps (all) v hav to do 4 to establish a netwok like this.....thnks in advance....

properly, what hapen my messanger is working fine but when i click on browser the page has not open & thn after 1 min i tried than it works, though in server pc nothing like that why? i had delete all coockies & files, my internet provider said this is some problem from your side, the satus of my connection is showing connected but when i click on browser it has not open the page again same time my chetting going fine , plz any body tell any that i do i cheak my lan connection, other pc has working my pc has connecting & disconnecting it has from last few days only ,

Yahoo or msn? I know yahoo's pretty cool with it's forum thing and all but I just wanted to make sure it's worth it if i decided to give msn a shot. I know quite a few people with msn though. Along with it's little hotmail thing and all that jazz. Which d'you suppose more people have?

I have a home network, 1 pc and 2 laptops connected by linksys wireless router.

I want to configure a folder on my pc desktop so the 2 laptops are able to access the folder.. i've done the file sharing thingy that the folder now has "a hand" .. i tried to access on my laptop via the pc ip (\\192.168.1.101\) but there's always an error, "path now found" ... why??

How can i resolve this?

Pls assist... thanks a million!! :)

When I move picture files (such as jpg) from one folder to another folder, the file "locks." When I try to open the jpg file, the computer says, "No Preview Avaiable."

And, I can't open the picture with any program.

(I am able to go into SafeMode and unlock the file. But, what is causing this problem?)

I do not have this problem when I use "copy" instead of "move."

Hey I've looked through the questions and didn't see and answer so I'll ask: I've always connected with a cable modem to the Internet then hooked the modem to my wireless router. However I'm looking after a friends home who has DSL. When I connected the wireless to her modem, I am unable to gain a connection to the Internet. I ran the connection utility built into the router and it didn't seem to work either. I am able to connect by plugging her modem into my Ethernet port but I have a laptop and would like to avoid sitting here on the kitchen floor!!! Any ideas? Thank you!!!

1st problem is one of my channels doesn't work that is supposed to. Secondly, our phone and internet connections have went out everyday last week for about 20 mins to 1hour each day. My mom has called comcast and they say they can do nothing about the channel and pretty much nothing about the internet going out either -.-. Are we the only ones having this problem and if not what did you do to solve the problem? I like comcast because it's fast but if you can reccomend maybe another internet provider with good speed then please do.

Im 19 and my boyfriend was looking up pre teens for porn online and we had a huge argument.I asked why was he looking up pre and he said because he was looking for 18 year olds.(my boyfriend 27) He says he likes 18 year old which disgusts me because they're so many american girls who are 13-17 who looked fully devloped as if they are 21 or even 30 year olds!
what Im SAYING is if he says he specifically likes 18 year old I dont doubt he will be attracted to a 17 year old.Yes 18 is the legal age but he shouldnt have to be wanting that.He always talk $/h!t about his older friends being perverts and how he thinks its wrong because they are too old for them but I really think deep down inside he knows hes the perv.

I have a 2wire DSL router on one side of my house. On the other side (through 2 walls and 50-60feet), I have a desktop PC that has a solid, strong wireless connection to my router. My laptop, however, is unable to obtain a connection at all unless I hold the laptop 7 feet in the air. Obviously, that's not going to work. Is there some sort of USB attachment that would turn my wirelessly-connected desktop into a "wireless router" of sorts to connect my laptop to? Or do I need to buy a network extender and install it at a midpoint between the two rooms?

Is it Carrier to Interference Ratio or Signal to noise?What are the factor affecting it and the method of eliminating those interference?Here we are using Motorolla 5700AP as our Subscriber Module (SM), if it is not operating on site does interference affecting it or if it is expose on interference it is possible that our module would be damage? or we just make some adjustment and calibration?

I have tried calling the help desk and the [stupid..] woman was no help to me at all and was trying to get me to hang up.

I tried reseting the modem [which also gives out wireless signals] and the computer, attaching the modem phsically with a wire but nothing has changed.

The internet has worked many times before, and is still connected to the internet, but can only go as far as the home page [sometimes] and any other page is impossible.
