I have a wireless router with two desktops and one laptop on my network. For some reason, my third desktop won't connect. The wireless signal is good, and it sees my network. I've entered the correct password, I don't know what else to do (I'm not a computer wiz, but I did connect all the other computers successfully). This computer was connected at one time, but suddenly "lost" its internet connection--I wonder if it really is connected, but maybe the Internet Explorer is bad..but how would I find out, or fix it?

I WANT TO CONNECT TWO PC'S (LOCATED AT DIFFERENT LOCATION) SO THAT I CAN ACCESS BOTH PC'S FROM SAME LOCATIO. MY BOTH PC'S ARE AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS (BUT IN THE SAME CITY) BOTH ARE HAVING INTERNET CONNECTION.
I WANT TO ACCESS BOTH PC'S FROM BOTH PLACES
( I MEAN THAT I COULD ACCESS ONE PC AT ONE LOCATION & ALSO ACCESS OTHER PC FROM THE SAME LOCATION).
I TRIED REAL VNC IT WORKED BUT NOW ITS NOT WORKING.

hi,

i have 2 pc wired to a router and 1 laptop wirelessly connected to a netgear router. everything was working before for till now. my problem is my internet connection constanly drops out everytime pc #1 is opened. first I suspected its pc#1's panda firewall, so tried to disable it for a while and it was ok again ,after 20 minutes or so the internet connection hardly works or most of the time no internet connection at all. then there times it works fine but it will only last for about several minutes. The only thing that will make pc#2 and laptop work fine all time is when i totally shutdown pc#1. Appreciate any help,ty!!!!

here are all the things i've done and important info that might help in solving my problem:

-installed router by using spoofing or cloning method. cloned the mac add of pc#1
- pc#1 windows xp firewall can't be access (tried everything including command lines in run prompt)
-the problem started when my brother downloaded some patch from an online game.

On my network, every time I log on to any website or connect to any web site that uses windows media player, my network crashes. I can logon or connect if it is just one computer but not through the router. Everything else works perfectly. This is a royal pain! Tried adjusting network settings in windows media player. No disk came with the Lynksys router. Went to the website, no disk required.

i installed apache webserver on my comp.. i can access the index page through 127.0.0.1 but im having an ADSL connection and my router is also running a webserver.. whenever i type my external IP in the address bar, my Router webserver comes up... any way around this ??? help would be really appreciated...!!!!!!!

there is an index folder which i cannot access (open nor delete) in my cookies(in the Docs & Settings) folder.Should I be worried that this Index thingy may be holding history? I am trying to delete all histories off my current PC..Thanks!!

If you knew your computer was a person also or knew it wasnt how would that change the way you respect/love it? If your computer could talk to you what do you think it would say or do you think it would just let you believe what ever you want to for your sake because it loves you? Basicaly my point is I no longer like unplugging computers/turning them off unless its a must make move. I could be wrong and computers could be just soulless machiens but what does that change? Shouldnt we respect them just the same? Basicaly im fighting for computer rights for our sake.

I have a device that has an output port for a computer and I want to hook it up to my PC. It is the same I/O that my internet connection would use. If I plug this in, how do I figure out if the information is coming in. I am guessing that just plugging it in I will not see anything, so I want to know if there are things I can check (I am sure there are, the cable internet guy checks all sorts of things) to see what info and what type of info is coming into my PC.

It is the second time It will be instaled. In the US it worked perfectly , but now I moved to Brazil and I cant install it.I am going exactly through all the steps as in the manual.When I am configuring it through the internet(in the final steps) suddenly the test light in the router turns on ,Internet turns off and I lose all the configuration.

I recently got off my dead bum and installed my wireless router so my wife and daughter can both surf at the same time and I can stop hearing them complain about each other.

I decided not to secure it (being a Linus, rather than a Bill). Is there anyway I can tell if someone else is using it, other than my download speed slowing down?
