Did you insert the appropriate server redirect entry in the router itself? Some of them may save "Virtual Servers" some brands would label that list differently. Remember to set the port # on router differently while at it if this is required.

yes that is possible, ur apache can stay running in port 80, though u can also change those settings in the apache.conf or httpd.conf depending which OS u use, the important thing is that u forward a port from ur router to ur apache machine so if u want to run ur site on the net under http://blabla:3424 then u have to forward port 3424 to apache machine port 80 but then of course if ppl wanna access ur site they have to type http://blabla:3424 alternatively u could make use of a free service like www.dl.am where u can get another url like http://bla.dl.am and it will show ur site, if u need more help u can check the apache site there r a lot of tutorials, if u wan tinteractive help, get www.mirc.com and connect to the server freenode.net and go to the #apache channel, very helpful ppl there

acquire PhpMyAdmin (the instalation is one million minute, you usually replica stuff interior the basis folder of your webserver and regulate some traces in some documents) If that works you're solid.
