hi,

i have 2 pc wired to a router and 1 laptop wirelessly connected to a netgear router. everything was working before for till now. my problem is my internet connection constanly drops out everytime pc #1 is opened. first I suspected its pc#1's panda firewall, so tried to disable it for a while and it was ok again ,after 20 minutes or so the internet connection hardly works or most of the time no internet connection at all. then there times it works fine but it will only last for about several minutes. The only thing that will make pc#2 and laptop work fine all time is when i totally shutdown pc#1. Appreciate any help,ty!!!!

here are all the things i've done and important info that might help in solving my problem:

-installed router by using spoofing or cloning method. cloned the mac add of pc#1
- pc#1 windows xp firewall can't be access (tried everything including command lines in run prompt)
-the problem started when my brother downloaded some patch from an online game.

Suggest supplying the router mac to your internet provider and get rid of the excess firewall software. Most internet providers will allow routers so should not be a problem with supplying them with the router mac. Also as windows has a built in firewall you shouldnt need an additional one in fact shouldnt need another anyway as router acts as a firewall as well. Also if you are unable to access the windows firewall settings may be a spyware issue on your machine that is causing the problem suggest running spyware scans and see if they can solve the issue.

MAC address, must be related to that, I suspect cloning address created problem in fundamental networking protocols that don't have a way to manifest itself until now. You don't use File/Printer Sharing between your 3 machines I also suspect that be true?

Firewall program unrelated, extraneous.
