because vonage is a gigantic ripoff, not made to penetrate firewalls or routers, and off of a slow server. plus it costs a ton when you find out all the hidden bills. skype is free for anyone in north america until january, then it switches to one cent a minute. plus its adaptive p2p, so the sound is as good as you make it. what is wrong with you? how does someone have the intelligence to own a computer not know not to use vonage. they offer absolutely no service. its like paying to use email.

jerry you dont say all the problem your having all you say is why wont my vonage work behind my router?

your router almost certainly has the ports closed that they need to talk to their equipment with. Their website used to have them listed.
