depending on what you have you might need a eathernet cable or a router and eatehrnet cable

The cheepest way, is actualy kinda complicated. but all it requires is two network cards in one computer and the two cables. but it does take some effort to set up. and has limations.
a better way of dooing things that's still cheep is to go out and get a Router from some big discount store and set that up.
the Router and parts cost usally between $20-$60 depending on where you buy.

Cheap wired router for about 20 bucks and if the computer you want to hook up isnt network ready you will need a network card.

Well DO NOT get another modem from ur phone company they WILL charge u money But what you need is a router.They cost around $30 and all you do is plug the ethernet cable in and it runs it out with seprete IP address's :)

Your DSL company usually has a package deal for more than one computer.
