i want to install my printer in my pc without a modem but the printer needs a newer version of ie which i have to download and cant do because the pc has no modem and has extra no pci slot to install a modem...

I want to host my websit myself. I have a dynamic ip address and a nat aware dsl modem. after doing some research I am thinking that if I creat another connection using new connection in the dsl modem the I can select the proper service and pick the proper service. I would like to hear from someone who has had the same experience and succeeded or perhaps not succeeded and I can learn what not to do.

I have no problems accessing any files off the ME computer, but when I try to access the XP files from the ME computer, it just stops responding. I don't even get to the point where Network Neighborhood would list the ME and XP computers. It just locks up and I have to ctrl-alt-del the window. How can I resolve this?

in all the other sections the font is white and you can read it w/ my layout but in the favorites section, it's black and you're unable to see what it says

i logged into my 192.168.0.1 web page router thingy, and i messed with the ip config, the mac and the dns and other stuff. As soon as i pressed apply, i could not connect to my 192.168.0.1 web page anymore. how can i connect, or reset the data i have entered? i have a back up settings that i can use to enter it, or upgrade it when everything is in default, but i cant get to the page where it lets me upload the settings file. Please HELP.

I've got a PC and Mac sitting here at home. I would like to put them both on the internet at the same time. Is it possible? I don't care about sharing files between them. I've got a simple Net DSL 800 series connection that won't do it for me.

Simple question: Do I need another router, will it work, and HOW DO I DO IT???

I have my desktop networked thru my laptop-so far so good. Well we bought a third laptop so we could have 1 that can move anywhere ,outside etc. The problem is I cant figure out how to get the router to work. The signal will not go out to the other 2 computers. tried following the instructions but right away theres trouble-we dont have a separate modem plug in the card is the modem.Is there a way to do this at all or am I out of luck? The 2 that are networked now are connected thru a cable not a router.Also since I got the new laptop I networked that 1 to the desktop since its alot faster then the old one.I did everything the same way but now everytime the laptop gets shut off my desktop gives me the limited or no connectivity error message everytime.And to top it off I am not always having to do the same thing to get it working. Any ideas out there? Im about ready to pull my hair out. I bought the router last year so they want to charge me 2.99 a minute for tecnical support. Thanks.
